Department of Employment & Workplace Relations
Provide a range of programs and services to support Indigenous employment and economic development including;
• Indigenous Employment Centres – assist CDEP participants find long-term non-CDEP jobs and support they are in a job.
• Indigenous Small Business Fund – provides funding to Indigenous community based organizations to help Indigenous people learn about business, develop good business skills and expand their businesses.

The Department also has an Employment Services Toolbox which offers tools and strategies for Workers providing a service to Indigenous people.

Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission
The Commission was established in 1986 by an act of the Federal Parliament. Their goal is to foster greater understanding and protection of human rights in Australia and to address the human rights concerns of a broad range of individuals and groups. It is an independent statutory organisation and report to the federal Parliament through the Attorney-General.

NSW Department of Aboriginal Affairs
The Department works with Aboriginal people, government agencies, and the private and community sectors to promote the interests of Aboriginal people in NSW and reduce the inequity they continue to experience as a result of colonisation. The Department of Aboriginal Affairs is responsible for the Aboriginal Communities Development Program, a major housing and infrastructure program in Aboriginal communities. The ACDP Employment and Training Strategy is committed to providing training and employment opportunities for Aboriginal people in the communities in which it is being implemented. By working on ACDP projects and gaining both formal and on-the-job training, communities increase their self esteem as well as gaining the skills to maintain their assets into the future.

Provides a strategic framework for the development of state wide policies for Aboriginal education and training including;
• Provide leadership, advocacy and advice in relation to education and training for Aboriginal students and communities.
• Development of curriculum and resources to improve educational outcomes.
• Administer and monitor Commonwealth funding for Aboriginal education.
• Promote services and programs for Aboriginal education within NSW.
• Broaden the awareness of TAFE products and services for Aboriginal people through appropriate promotional activities.
• To support the professional development of Aboriginal education workers and targeted DET staff.
